Prohibitory order issued for two days in Siraha

District administrative office, Siraha has issued prohibitory order in Siraha district for December 28 and 29 on December 27 due to the inconvenience caused to the public by general strike and transportation strike called by Janamat Party from December 26. The prohibitory order has been imposed form 5am to 7pm. 

Chief District Officer Lal Babu Kawari said that the prohibition order has been issued in accordance with Article 6 (2) and (3) of the Local Administration Act 2028 to prevent any kind of gathering, walking outside and holding political meetings during the period of the prohibition order. According to him, no movement will be allowed in the area around 500 meters on the left and right side of the highway from Kamala to Balan Bridge and from Choharwa to PK Enterprises Petrol Pump in Siraha section and if anyone disobeyed this rue, the police will take the legal action against them. 

Likewise, the party leader, Pawan Yadav said that they had to impose general strike on December 27,28 and 29 because, the cadres of Janamat Part y were arrested on December 26. 

Cadres of CK Raut vandalized vehicles on December 26, claiming that they violated their general strike. According to SP Hira Pandey, CK Raut's cadres smashed the windows of 4-5 vehicles in Mirchaiya when there were no police. The Janmat Party, led by CK Raut, had called for a general strike today in protest of the arrest of a man by the police on the charge of looting wheat seeds from local government stock at go-down in the primary health center. The cadres of the Janamat Party has been agitating since few dats regarding the seed of wheat that the farmers were supposed to free. 

Police arrested Mithilesh Yadav of Aurhi Gaonpalika on December 23, after the farmers looted the wheat seeds kept in the same village on December 21, on the charge of delaying and discriminating in the distribution of seeds.

According to DSP Shubhash Budhathoki of the District Police Office Siraha, police have fired 14 tear gas shells and arrested 12 cadres of who were protesting to control the situation.
