Nepalgunj: Police have arrested two persons on the charge of abducting and raping an 18-year-old girl from Jajarkot living in Nepalgunj of Banke district.

The girl, who was living in Nepalgunj, was abducted while going to Khajuraho to take photos. She was abducted after being chased away by a group of five youths. According to Shyam Krishna Adhikari, Superintendent of Police, District Police Office, the perpetrators chased away the girls' male friends and took her to the forest. According to the police, the girl was abducted from Pulchowk in Khajura Gaonpalika-2. According to the information provided by the girl's friends, the police arrested a man while he was raping her in the forest. Police spokesperson Madhu Neupane said that another person was later arrested. Police are searching for other youths involved in the beating, abduction, and rape.
