Two people have found dead in the Ghodaha forest in Devdaha municipality of the Rupandehi district on Tuesday afternoon.

Police say a middle-aged woman and a minor girl have been found near the East-West Highway.

Inspector Ganga Saru of the Devdaha Area Police Office says the investigators suspect the child was murdered with her throat slit. Likewise, the woman is suspected to be her mother.

Nonetheless, the deceased are yet to be identified and further investigation is underway.
