Prakash Adhikari Central Executive Member of Janata Samajbadi Party(JaSaPa) and Secretary of the Central Party Office sustained injury after being physically assaulted by an unidentified group in Siraha on May 3.

According to the police, Adhikari was returning from Kathmandu on a vehicle bearing plate number Ba 2 Jha 3659, belonging to Mayor Ashweswor Yadav when the attack took place near the Ghurmi river bridge on the border of Siraha and Mirchaiya municipalities on the east-west highway. Police are currently investigating the reason behind the assault.
