Devi Prasad Regmi, CPN-UML candidate for ward chairperson of Butwal sub-metropolis-12 was attacked by a group on May 9 during his election campaign. According to eyewitness the group of people who were on scooters threw stones at Regmi's vehicle bearing plate number Ba 20 Cha 6785. The window panes of the vehicle broke in the incident. Regmi and other UML cadres who were in the vehicle with him escaped unhurt.
