Cadres of CPN (Maoist Center) staged a demonstration at vote counting site in Public High School in Dharan-20, of Sunsari after Nepali Congress' Padam Limbu won by a margin of four votes defeating Maoist Center candidate Vijay Tamang on May 18. During the counting of votes, 18 ballot papers were found without the signature of the election officer. Out of them, 11 votes were cast for the Maoist Center. An all-party meeting with the Maoist Center decided to cancel all the ballot papers. After Maoist Center was defeated in a post of ward chairperson by four votes in the final result, the Maoists staged a demonstration over the same ballot paper.
