Citizens staged a demonstration in Jumla on May 24 against caste-based discrimination. The demonstration was led by Dhanraj Sunar demanding legal action against the accused of Rukum West murder incident. They also demanded an end to caste-based discrimination. The participants at the demonstration lamented that victims of the Rukum West murder incident were yet to receive justice although two years had past since the incident. Six people were murdered in an incident motivated by caste based discrimination in Rukum West of Soti. The demonstrators displayed placards and chanted slogans as well.
