Locals protest in Bara against Supreme Court decision on international airport in Nijgadh

The cadres of CPN Maoist (Center) organized a torch rally on the evening of May 26 in Bara, against the decision of the Supreme Court to cancel the construction of proposed Nijgadh International Airport. Also, the students, locals and different organizations including the local cadres of different political parties obstructed transportation for an hour at East West Highway on May 27.
The supreme court in its verdict on May 26, gave orders to cancel the decision of Nepal government to build international airport in Nijgadh due to environmental concerns.
