A complaint was filed against 30 year old Bhuwan Kumar Pradhan of Khotahang rural municipality-7. Khotangbazar, accusing him of attempt to rape a 9 year old minor, who was going to school from her house.

The girl was able to free herself from the accused as she cried out loud for help. After the incident on May 25, the victim's side had reconciled with the perpetrator in the village under pressure. The case was filed at Area Police Office - Khotang Bazar on May 28, after the victim's relatives insisted the family to do so. The accused Bhuwan is still absconding.
