Police arrested Tejendra Bali, a 27-year-old man of Chhatreshwori rural municipality-4 in Salyan on May 27, on the charge of physically assaulting 70-year-old Tulasa Basnet of  Chhatreshwori rural municipality-10. According to the police, the accused attacked the victim with the metal bell for no reason on May 27 after he returned to his home from India. The victim sustained injuries on her head and shoulder. The victim underwent primary medical treatment in Shreenagar and was transferred to Nepalgunj Medical College for further treatment.
