Labors and transportation entrepreneurs staged a transportation strike on June 20, in Biratnagar against the price hike of petroleum products. The demonstrators agitated after the Nepal Oil Corporation increased the price of diesel and kerosene by Rs 27 per liter and petrol by Rs 21 per liter reaching the price of Rs.199 and Rs. 192 respectively on June 19 at midnight. The demonstrators obstructed the Rajbansi Chowk Road by placing vehicles there.
