CPN-UML's student wing has staged a demonstration in Butwal on Monday demanding the cancellation of increase in prices of petroleum products. The students burned tires in front of the Butwal Multiple Campus demanding to scrap the price hike of Petroleum Products. President of ANNFSU, Butwal, Mr. Pokharel warned that the district-wide agitation would intensify if the price hike is not reversed immediately. The Nepal Oil Corporation (NOC) hiked price of petroleum products with effect on 19 June 2022 night. Similarly, The price of petrol has been increased by Rs 21 per liter to Rs 199 and diesel and kerosene by Rs 27 to Rs 192.
