Locals have beaten up a young man and handed him over to the police for allegedly raping him in a village of Makwanpur.
The incident took place in Naya Basti of Manahari Rural Municipality Ward No. 6 of the district on Sunday. Kanchaman Rumba, 26, was beaten by the locals for allegedly raping a 27-year-old woman.
Police have taken the accused under control and started investigation into the incident. Giving information about the incident, Inspector of Police Prakash Thapa of Area Police Office Manahari said "We have taken the accused youth under control, treated him at Chitwan Medical College yesterday, extended his term and started investigation into the incident."
According to him, the incident of rape took place near near Bramhadevi Community Forest of Manahari-6.
