A 14-year-old teenage girl of Mirchaiya municipality-1 was gang-raped by 20-year-old Bimalesh Mahara and 24-year-old Shatis Safi on July 4 night. The accused was caught red-handed by the locals when Shatis was caught but Bimalesh absconded. The relatives of the victim alleged that Shatish called the victim to his home tempting the victim to get married. The victim committed suicide on July 5 by hanging herself in her own house.
