Locals of different villages staged a demonstration on 5 July in front of the Area Police Office at Lahan demanding action against loan shark Rambabu Mahato of Lahan-7 in Siraha, Lahan. The victim and their relatives staged a protest in front of the police office chanting different slogans and demanding action against Mahato who according to them have swindled poor locals. Police state that they are not able to arrested Mahato because of prohibitory order issued by the court.
