APF and Nepal Police clash in Jhapa

A clash took place between APF (Armed Police Force) and Nepal Police in Jhapa. According to sources, the two groups clashed in Kakkadbhitta of Mechinagar municipality on Wednesday night over a dispute regarding releasing vehicles carrying betel nut.
APF accused Nepal police of helping smugglers to smuggle betel nut while Nepal Police claimed that the clash occurred after a minor dispute between an APF and Nepal Police personnel. DSP Gyan Kumar Mahato of Kakkadbhitta police claimed that they had caught betel nut smugglers.
