Sawala Dulal, a 35-year-old woman of Besisahar-8, was brutally assaulted by the police on July 8 night. According to the victim, around 4/5 police entered her home and physically assaulted her dragging her to their van and taking her to the police station. She further added that the police also assaulted her by taking her to jail and she later fainted. The next day in the morning she was released from police custody.
Due to the assault, the victim sustained bruised on her body and she is now undergoing medical treatment in a hospital. The relatives of the victims were demanding justice and compensation from the accused. Police alleged that further investigation is being carried.
