Cadres of the Janamat Party led by CK Raut padlocked the Ministry of Agriculture of Madhesh province on July 20, in Janakpur citing massive corruption in the minstry. The demonstrators were agitated after they were unable to meet with the minister to demand to take legal action against the corruption. The Janamat Party Dhanusha claimed that there is widespread corruption in the schemes of the Ministry of Agriculture of the province, and the farmers approached the Ministry to take action. Janmaat Party Dhanush in-charge BP Sah said that there should be an investigation of corruption in the ministry, the farmers should be paid, and the report of the committee formed to study the problems of the farmers should be made public.
