Krishna Prasad Acharya, 43, Bharatpur Metropolitan City Ward-10, lost his life while escaping after murdering his wife with a sharp weapon in Bharatpur, Chitwan. While trying to escape from the roof of the house after killing his wife, the husband also died after falling from three floors. The accused physically attacked his 35-year-old wife Rushma Acharya (Ghimire) with a sharp weapon during a domestic dispute, on July 24, injuring her seriously in the living room of the house. Police spokesman DSP Narhari Adhikari of District Police Office Chitwan said that he died during treatment at Old Medical College Bharatpur.
Shri Krishna Prasad was seriously injured when he tried to escape by jumping from the third floor of the house after killing his wife with a sharp weapon. Police spokesman DSP officer said that he also died during treatment in the same medical college. Both the bodies have been kept at Bharatpur Hospital for postmortem.
Krishna Prasad had returned from a foreign job only one and a half months ago. His wife Rusma is a teacher. Police quoted a neighbor as saying that ever since the husband had returned from abroad, they had been fighting over domestic matters. Local people told that the husband and wife do not even talk and live in different flats of the house. They have a 12 year old daughter.
