Police arrested Yam Bahadur Thapa Chhetri oof Kanchan Rural Municipality-1 in Rupandehi on the charge of murder of his wife 31-year-old Savitri Thapa Chhetri.

According to police Savitri was found dead at her home on July 28 with bruises on her body and a head injury. Savitri's body has been brought to Lumbini Regional Hospital, Butwal, for post-mortem. Police suspect that, Savitri's husband Yam Bahadur who regularly consumes alcohol might have killed her during a dispute. The police have taken him into custody and started further investigation.
