The second class non-gazette officers of Nepal Government are on strike since August 9 condemning the unequal increment in salary of government employees. The government had announced a 15% increment in salary for the government employees of all the positions during the budget announcement for the fiscal year 2022/2023. However, higher percentage of salary was increased for employees above section officers.
They did pen-down for an hour from 10 to 11 am on August 10 demanding equal proportion of increment in paycheck.
