The cadres of Nepal Student's Union (NSU), the student wing of Nepali Congress vandalized the Vice-Chancellor's office at Tribhuvan University on August 24. According to students who witnessed the act, the cadres of NSU broke the office door, removed the name plate and put garland of shoes on the vice-chancellor's chair.
The TU administration later mentioned that the vandalization was done on the leadership of the secretary of TU's NSU committee. The NSU have blamed TU's executives of hiding the report submitted by investigation committee related to duplication of question paper in board exams. The cadres had gone to the VC office demanding to publish the investigation report, but resorted later to vandalism.
