Youths of Dhanusha and Siraha demonstrated on August 29 at their respective districts demanding to ban Tiktok. They also submitted memorandum to district administration office, district police office and municipality office with the same demand. The protesting youth blamed Tiktok app for spreading vulgarity in the society and demanded punishment for for those who post vulgar videos in the application. They also mentioned the mobile application as a cause to increase prostitution, suicide and other social evils in the society.
