Police arrested 31-year-old Mankumar Gurung of Phidim Municipality-8 in Panchthar on the charge of raping a 22-year-old woman. The victim had filed a complaint against the accused at the District Police Office on August 30, alleging that he raped her on September 12.  According to police the accused was arrested from Phidim Municipality-8 on September 12 for investigation based on the complaint of the victim. The health examination of the victim was conducted at the district hospital on September 12.
