The local tourism entrepreneurs of Nagarkot staged a demonstration on October 31 against the delay in the construction of the 16 kilometers road from Bhaktapur to Nagarkot by obstructing the road and piling mud on the road. The demonstrators alleged that the condition of the road had left the tourism in Nagarkot in a state of disrepair. According to them, the Kamalbinayak-Nagarkot road has become more dilapidated. According to Navin Gurung, Chairman of Nagarkot Naldum Tourism Development Committee, locals have blocked the road by pouring 15 trucks of mud on the road.
