Police took into control the ward chairperson of Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan city-7  in Bara Sunil Gupta briefly on November 6 on the charge of padlocking the election office. Gupta reportedly padlocked the office of Jitpur Simara Sub-metropolitan city accusing the head of the Sub-metropolitan city of ignoring their demands to dispose of the waste in their locality for a long time. The office had also been serving as election office.  Police arrested Gupta with the help of Poudel and the head of election office head Karna Rai.  Police later opened the padlock.
