Two Nepali Congress seriously injured after attack in Lamjung; UML cadres including ward chairperson arrested

Nepali Congress has accused CPN-UML cadres under the direction of its leader and elected ward chairperson Sudip Thapa of assaulting their cadres in Lamjung on November 15. Congress accused CPN-UML cadres of physically attacking Nepali Congress ward working committee Milan Thapa and local leader Bharat Thapa in Madhyanepal municipality-1 of Lamjung. Congress accused that UML had resorted to violence as the ruling alliance for the upcoming election was emerging strong. Area Police Office Bhorletar  arrested the accused ward chairperson and few others and took them towards district headquarter for investigation. The two Congress cadres sustained injury in the attack and were taken to Pokhara for medical treatment.
