Squatters of Bagmati corridor stage sit-in in front of Kathmandu metropolis

Squatters residing on the bank of the Bagmati river in Thapathali, Kathmandu, staged a sit-in on November 29 in front of Kathmandu Metropolitan City after Kathmandu Metropolitan City tried to evacuate the slum dwellings. The demonstrators chanted slogans against the evacuation and demanded to resolve the grievances of landless squatters.
