Women rights activists staged a demonstration on November 30 in Nepalgunj of Banke demanding to investigate the death of Afsarul Khan of Raptisonari rural municipality-7 in Banke. Afsarul Khan was found dead on November 2. The relatives of the victim alleged that the she was murdered by her husband and brother-in-law for not bringing dowry as demanded by them. The demonstrators demanded to investigate the murder of Afsarul. Police stated that the deceased's medical report showed that she committed suicide. Police arrested  the victim's husband and brother-in-law on the charge of abating suicide.
