Local representatives of Kanchanrup municipality in Saptari including deputy Mayor Munakimari Pokhrel ward chairpersons of six wards and executive members of the municipality staged a two-day sit-in from January 30 against the alleged arbitrary use of power by Chief Administrative Officer Renuka Sah. Lalan Prasad Gupta a ward chairperson of the municipality alleged that they submitted a memorandum to correct the decision that was done by her, but after the request was not addressed, they were forced to stage a sit-in. They accused the Sah of randomly transferring the ward secretaries of 12 wards.
