A group of students staged a demonstration in Janakpur on February 6 demanding to announce open vacancy for the position of computer operator. The demonstrators requested not to recruit employees in contract basis stating that recruitment for the position should be conducted by the Provincial Public Service Commission which is also responsible for filling recruiting manpower positions required for the operation of the offices at the provincial and local levels. The demonstrators demanded that hiring computer operators on contract basis should be stopeed, the Madhesh Public Service Commission should not be dissolved, and the annual schedule of advertisements should be included and made public.
