The deputy mayor of Madhyapur Thimi in Bhaktapur, Bijaya Krishna Shrestha has accused a group of locals including CPN-UML municipal secretary Suman Joshi of assaulting him while he had gone to inspect the work of laying stone tiles at ward 4 of the municipality. The deputy mayor stated that a group led by Joshi launched a planned attack on him due to which he sustained pain on his hand and waist. He accused Joshi of attacking him after not getting the contract for laying the stones.
