Police arrested Nabin Kumar Das a 28-year-old man on March 13, on the charge of domestic violence. According to the police, Nabin's wife 25-year-old Aarati Das of Rajbiraj municipality-3  accused Nabin Kumar, his father Ghana Shyam Das, mother Raj Kumari Devi Das, and Nabin Kumar's two sisters 38-year-old Ashadevi Das  and 26-year-old Nitu Das of physically assaulting her for not bringing enough dowry on February 6. According to the victim, the accused asked Rs.50,00,000 as a dowry to buy land and threatened her that Nabin Kumar would divorce her if she did not fulfill the demands put forward by them. Police are further investigating the incident.
