Farmers Association affiliated to the communist parties staged a demonstration in Maitighar Mandala of Kathmandu on March 22 demanding the government to put a halt to the 'terror' created by microfinance institutes and provide farmers with chemical fertilizers amongst many. All Nepal Farmers Federation affiliated with (Maoist Center) (Revolutionary Center), All Nepal Farmers Federation affiliated with CPN (Unified Socialist), All Nepal Farmers Federation (APFA)  affiliated with CPN (Masal), All Nepal Farmers affiliated with CPN (Revolutionary Maoist), All Nepal Farmers Union affiliated with Nepal Communist Party and All Nepal Progressive Farmers Union affiliated with CPN-UML staged the demonstration. Participants at  the demonstration accused the government of ignoring their demands and warned of further protests.
