Cadres of Janata Samajwadi Party (JaSaPa) staged a demonstration in Saptari on April 4 demanding action against inspector Nabin Thapa of District Police Office Saptari who allegedly physically assaulted JaSaPa's district chairperson Kedar Yadav. JaSaPa has accused Thapa of attacking Yadav during a meeting at District Police Office. Yadav sustained injury in the attack and was sent to Gajendra narayan singh hospital in Rajbiraj for treatment. JaSaPa cadres burned tyres in protest demanding punishment for the inspector.
