Locals of Bhimdutta municipality-11 staged a demonstration on April 17, alleging that the royalty tax of the sand taken out from the Mahakali River was being evaded. The demonstrators alleged that the municipality and local administration did not investigate the tax evasion issue. The ward chairperson of Bhimdutta municipality-11 interfered in the demonstration by physically assaulting the demonstrators.
