Sweta Jha a 28-year-old woman of Janakpurdham sub-metropolis-20, accused her husband and his family of attempting to murder her by immolating her on April 14. According to the victim, her husband Rajib Sah along with his brother, mother, and father physically assaulted her and immolated her for not bringing three tolas of gold as a dowry. According to the doctors, 35% of the body of the victim has been burnt.
The victim alleged that her family gave Rs. 2,00,000 IC as a dowry and her family has been helping out his family economically however, his family physically assaulted her over and again.
