The laborers involved in the construction of the multi-purpose suspension bridge built in Duhun rural municipality and the Siddha Makrikot footpath built in Apihimal rural municipality of Darchula staged a demonstration by closing the bridge by wiring in after not receiving their payment even after it has been two years since the project's end. They closed the bridge on both sides of the bridge with wire mesh and zinc sheets as they did not get wages even after many attempts. After the closure of the bridge, citizens who come to the district headquarters Khalanga and go to the rural municipality office for special work have to walk a two-hour long road.
