Nepal Teachers Federation National Committee staged a demonstration in Kathmandu on May 12 demanding the issuance of the Federal Education Act. The demonstrators alleged that this protest was a form of warning after the government's delay in issuing the Federal Education Act. They also demand that at least 20 percent of the total budget should be invested in education the government to fulfill the demands raised by the school staff etc.
