Locals of Thakre rural municipality padlocked the office of the rural municipality demanding to close mines on May 11. The padlock was opened by locals with the agreement to close the illegal mines within the municipality before the executive meeting. Ramkumar Acharya, the chairperson of Thakre Rural Municipality, said that the padlock in the rural municipality was opened with the consent of the people.
