Police arrested Ratan Pacchai a 30-year-old man on May 17 on the charge of murdering his wife Dansara Rawat Pacchai a 20-year-old woman of Kankasundari rural municipality-6. According to the police, the victim was missing for 11 days and her dead body was recovered on May 16. The relatives of Dansara, who passed away in Tila rural municipality-2, lodged a complaint at the district police office on May 17, asking for an investigation as the death of Dansara was mysterious.
