District court of Sindhupalchok has ordered to remand Dorje Tamang, 28, of Batase VDC-9 in custody on November 18 on the charge of raping a 15-year-old girl. He has been charged with raping the girl on July 26 at Hiplu Pakha of Batase VDC-9. The police had registered a case against him on July 29 based on the complaint lodged by the victim on July 28 at the district police office. The victim underwent a health checkup at Chautara hospital on the same day the complaint was lodged. Police had arrested the accused on November 17. Prior to his arrest, police had registered the case at district court on August 22 after investigation.
