Police have arrested Sanjiv Kumar Mishra, 42, Binita Mishra, 32, and Mohammad Ahamad, 40, of Dhamaura VDC-7 on December 31 on the charge of killing the couple’s daughter.
According to DSP Lokendra Shrestha, the Mishra couple had killed their daughter Sonali Mishra, 18, after learning that she was pregnant. Police claimed that after killing the daughter on December 20, the Mishras transferred the body to India in their own car and cremated the body there.
The couple told police that their daughter had committed suicide. DSP Shrestha said the manner in which the Mishras conducted cremation of their daughter, without informing the police or neighbours and relatives, raised the suspicion. He added all three were kept in District Police Office and police were searching for another four accused accomplices.
