Pyuthan District Court ordered 28-year-old Narayan Bista of Mijhing VDC-7 Rolpa to be remanded into custody for attempting to rape a 13-year-old girl on December 8. DPO's Ajaya Rana informed that a single bench of District Court Justice Bishnu Prasad Upadhyaya issued the verdict on January 4. The victim's relatives had informed police about the incident on December 9 and the police had arrested the accused on the same day. The victim underwent a medical checkup at a health post in Bijubar on December 10.
