CIAA has filed a case in the Special Court against 6 engineers and 14 others for allegedly misappropriating development budget in Kailali district. After finding out irregularities in different projects including building and road construction, CIAA has filed a case against the government officials and members of consumers group in the special court.

In the case filed, CIAA has accused Sub-engineers Ram Chandra Bhandari, Om Bahadur Thapa and Rabindra Bahadur Singh, District Administration Office employee Tej Bahadur Khadka, Chairman of the Consumer's Group formed for the construction of the road Bhajan Singh Malla, Treasurer Chandra Gharti, Secretary Netra Bahadur Jethara and social mobilizer Siva Karki of embezzling around rupees twenty five lakhs allocated for the project.
