District Court Bhaktapur has asked Sunil Gothe, 29, of Suryabinayak to provide his wife Sharmila Gaiju Gothe, 29, Rs 25,000 as treatment expenses and that no physical or mental torture to be inflicted against the victim. The single bench of District Judge Balendra Rupakheti ordered on January 11 to send the letter prohibiting torture to all of her family members. The Court also ordered Police Range Jagati to provide internal protection of her if she needs it. Sharmila had filed a complaint against her husband and his elder brother Anil on December 15, 2014, accusing them of beating her. They were arrested the same day and were released on bail deposit of Rs 28,000 after the charge under public offence was pressed against them on December 17. However, Sharmila moved District Court on January 9 with the charge of domestic violence against them saying they were again abusing her. She received treatment at Madhyapur Thimi Hospital and remains in stable condition, her brother Anil informed.
