District Police Office (DPO), Humla has arrested 26-year-old Prem Bahadur Sunar of Danda VDC-1 on the charges of raping a 19-year-old girl. The woman’s elder brother filed a complaint at the DPO saying that the accused has been raping her for the last eight months by intimidating her. The family, noticing her bump had taken her to Darma Health Post where her pregnancy was confirmed. DSP Krishna Kunwar said that after learning from the District Hospital that the baby was dead in the womb, she has been referred to Bheri Zonal Hospital, Nepalgunj for further treatment. He added that the investigation would be initiated against the accused.
