Accused perpetrators of a rape case have allegedly offered Rs 1 million to a rape victim asking her to change her statements with police and court. The 17-year-old girl from Hokse of Panchkhal Municipality in Kavrepalanchok district offered the money to the victim and her parents on Tuesday. After the parents refused to take the money, the accused perpetrators threatened that they "can do anything" on them, the victim's father said. After the threat, Panchthar Police Post deployed police in civvies at their home since Tuesday evening, SI Niranjan Neupane said. The girl was gang-raped by three persons at a restaurant in Dolalghat on January 21. Police had nabbed two persons – Aaditya Adhikari (22) of Panchkhal-3 and Samir Shrestha (19) of Panchkhal-6 – in connection to the incident. Police have already filed a case against them at the District Court, Dhulikhel. The victim is an 11th grader at a local school.
