The district court of Okhaldhunga has ordered 34-year-old Bam Bahadur Baral of Bilandu VDC-6 to be remanded in custody on February 15 for allegedly murdering his own mother. A single bench of district court justice Subhash Babu Puri issued the verdict. The district police Office informed that the accused had killed his 65-year-old mother Deumaya Baral on January 24 by attacking her with khukuri. He had then burned the body. Police arrested Bam Bahadur from his home the next day.
