The Commission for the Investigation of Abuse of Authority (CIAA) on Wednesday filed a corruption case at the Special Court against an assistant of Manmateriya VDC Office in Rupandehi. Office Assistant Shiva Prasad Upadhyaya has been booked for taking Rs 5,000 bribe from a service recipient, CIAA said. According to the Commission, Upadhyaya was arrested red-handed while receiving the kickback from one Ram Das Pasi of Manmateriya-7. The anti-corruption constitutional body demanded that the Court take action against him as per section 3(1a) of Anti-Corruption Act, 2002.
